![]() Prior to the 12th of March 2022, the Accelerator was the only tower that could receive cash from summoned enemies. The Accelerator's plasma gun is loosely based on the Gluon Gun from Half-Life.The Accelerator is loosely based on the Sparky from Clash Royale.Due to the Accelerator's high cost, it should not be used to deal with early game Leads and Lead Bosses. This only applies to the Lead and Lead Boss, and some event enemies. The Accelerator can be used to defeat lead enemies from Level 0.The Accelerator, when stunned, will charge-up, but not attack and instead immediately perform its cooldown.Try to ensure the Accelerator does not get stunned by placing it a good distance away from the path, letting it avoid attacks from enemies like the Templar or Fallen Guardian, so that it does not have to charge-up again.Other towers can help clear up the enemies from the Accelerator leaks.Slowing towers like the Sledger can be used to support the Accelerator, slowing the enemy down and giving the Accelerator enough time to charge-up and attack them. The DJ Booth is great here, for boosting the Accelerator's range. The Accelerator should be able to cover large amounts of the path.Due to this and some other factors, it is generally unfeasible to use the Accelerator for early game, with its sluggish charge-up of the lower levels resulting in some fast enemies leaking. The Level 5 Accelerator's charge-up and cooldown times are not as great an issue as the lower levels. The Accelerator's lengthy charge-up and cooldown times hinder it greatly, with enemies getting out of range before the Accelerator can defeat them in the worst cases. This is generally not an issue if the Accelerator is able to defeat the strong enemy very quickly.Other towers should be used to defeat the faster enemies. This can result in the Accelerator leaking faster enemies. If the Accelerator locks onto a strong enemy like the Giant Boss, it will stay locked on for a long time, which is until the strong enemy is defeated or leaves its range. The Accelerator's lock-on mechanic can be a problem at times.Alternatively, you could chain the Commander's Call to Arms. When using the Commander's Call to Arms, make sure it is used when it starts firing to maximize the effect. Do note that the Commander only boosts the Accelerator's tick, not the charge-up or cooldown times. The Commander and DJ Booth are always great support towers to use with the Accelerator, increasing its DPS and range, and reducing its expensive upgrade prices. The Farm or other towers that generate income, like the Golden Cowboy are recommended, as the Accelerator's upgrades are quite expensive. For the mid and late game, the Accelerator can be extremely powerful. To see all the previous statistics of this tower, see the history page, while for the statistics without the Firerate Bug, visit the Firerate Bug page.
